When the fuse is blown out, the charger power indicator is not on; when the rectifier diode is damaged, the power indicator light of the charger of diesel generator set is on, but there is no DC output. 1. The charger transformer of diesel generator set was burnt out.
2. The diode on the charger of the diesel generator was burnt out.
3. The charging ammeter of the charger of diesel generator set is damaged.
4. The fuse of the charger of the diesel generator was burnt out.
The troubleshooting method is: disconnect the connection line between the charger and the battery, and test the voltage between the two output terminals of the charger with the DC voltage level (50V) of the multimeter. Note that the red probe is connected to the positive pole of the charger, and the black probe is connected to the negative pole. No voltage output is found.
Remove the charger shell and check the charging fuse core. It is found that the fuse core of 60A is burnt out.
After replacement, the charger returns to normal charging, and the fault is eliminated.
